In raspy voice, he croons his tales,
Of love and life, and all that entails.
From "Maggie May" to "Tonight's the Night",
His lyrics soar, they take to flight.
A "Young Turks" rebel, with a "Hot Legs" groove,
His music moves us, it makes us move.
And though he's "Forever Young" in our minds,
He's left his mark on music of all kinds.
So here's to the man with the golden voice,
Whose songs have made our hearts rejoice.
He's still here, and his music lives on,
And we'll keep dancing to his beat until dawn.
